The Fabulous Stains: Luna Lovebad

As we dive deeper into festival season, we want to talk about all-things rave! Each day this week, contributor Nicky Ottav will hit up a member of L.A.-based fashion collective/cyber cool kids club The Fabulous Stains and ask ‘em to dish on their best fest tips.

Luna Lovebad is a blogger, designer, model, and rapper from Compton, California. She is one of my closest friends and one of the most kawaii girls I have ever met! Luna is a recent addition to The Fabulous Stains blog and also writes for her own website. On any given day you can find Luna on a photo shoot, at the Japanese dollar store, or designing for her clothing brand BITCHMADE LA. I love Luna to death, so I caught up with her to ask all about her festival fashion! —N.O.

What does being a Nasty Gal mean to you?

A boss ass chick who marches to the beat of her drum and has killer style!

How long have you been going to festivals and concerts? Do you have a fav memory from a particular one?

I’ve gone to a few, and this year will be the third time I’ve been to Coachella. My parents bought me tickets to Coachella in 2007 as a high school graduation present and—for it being my first time at a festival—I’d have to say it was definitely one of the most memorable.

Any dreams of one day performing at a festival? Which?

Hell yeah! All of them!

What are your festival essentials?

A bangin’ swimsuit, sunnies, sunblock always! If you’re a “lightina” (light-skinned Latina) like myself and get sunburned easily, sunblock is your best friend!

Any trend predictions for this upcoming festival season?

Hair braids/twists, anything sheer, and lots of nips!
