Spazzing.

You blink your eyes, Summer is almost over. We’re already pretty much through July, days from the start of August, the stores are already full of back to school goodies, some even ready for Halloween¹

As time passes, I can still remember where I was a year ago. I can even remember two years ago to date. This time last year, I was still pretty much unemployed². A lot has changed in this past year.

You know something else? I haven’t truly done anything fun since the Summer of 2011. During my unemployment, I had it in my mindset that I wasn’t allowed to do anything fun because I felt my only priority was to find a job. I was broke so I didn’t have anything to spend other than what I was getting out of my unemployment checks – strictly for bills. I did nothing too remotely exciting or worth mentioning³. Even this Summer, I’ve been so caught up with work, I haven’t even had time to think about anything but work. Boom, it’s almost August, I realize that Summer is coming to an end, I still haven’t done anything. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve actually been able to splurge and award myself with something exciting after punishing myself for so long. It’s actually kind of depressing!

Sometime in March or April, I went on a whim and purchased a set of concert tickets because my idol Justin Timberlake was/is touring, OMG. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS TOURING AND I’M GOING TO DIE IF I DON’T GO BECAUSE I LOVE HIM AND I NEED TO SEE HIM! Due to curtain circumstances such as money being tight, basically not thinking about how broke I was instead of the fact that it’s Justin Timberlake, I had to sell the tickets. It was depressing, but the right choice. However, since I’ve been catching up on bills and my checks have been pretty fucking awesome⁴, I’ve decided to go after all. If it couldn’t get anymore awesome, I’m going with Jenn and Amanda to the Hershey Park show on August 4th. Amy will be there as well as Danielle⁵. Besides the concert, we’re also going to do the rides earlier on in the day since the show doesn’t start until 8pm. Sometimes, things do work out after all. Safe to say, my life is officially complete… for this Summer.

Of course, you can expect plenty of photos and videos popping up in future posts to come, containing copious amounts of estrogen and your Justin Timberlake needs⁶. A warning in advance: If you hear any screaming on Sunday, August 4th that resembles the sound of dying cats, it might possibly be me and my badass fan-girling and rebellious self. Might even be Jenn, Amanda, and Amy. Stay tuned.
