happy birthday to you, we went to the zoo

i meant to write but life has been busy.

august 30th my little boy turned 2. i can no longer call him a baby, if i do he shouts NOOOOOO at me.

instead of having a party this year, we decided to take him to the asheboro zoo which is about 2 hours away from us. its a beautiful place and a habitat zoo so the animals are comfortable, and not stuck in little cages. the only disadvantage is that they have enough room to hide making it kind of disappointing when half the animals on exhibit are somewhere you can’t see them. it was still a fun day and vincent got to see a lot of different animals and spend time with us and his grandparents.

i am kinda sad that we didn’t have a traditional party but vincent didn’t seem to mind. i guess that stuff really is just for the parents until they are older. one thing we have all decided is that august is too hot to spend a whole day at an outdoor park where all you do is walk.. next year we’ll do something a bit more indoors i think…
