Kyodan clothing and a new fitness routine

Winter can be a challenging time of the year to stay in shape. As a full-time working parent, wife and mother to two children, exercise was the last thing on my mind at the end of the day. I *try* to work out 6 days a week. Sounds like a lot but once I have established a fitness routine that fits my schedule, it's not so tough. My fitness routine consists of core strengthening and running.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night, I do ab exercises. I follow this
10-minute intense lower ab workout. I know 10 minutes doesn't sound like a lot but believe me, your abdominal will hurt the next day. The reason I chose M, W, F because Monday night is usually the busiest night for us (the little one's homework assignments due every Tuesday). On Friday night, I want to take it easy since it’s the end of the week. 10 minutes is all it takes to complete my workout routine. This schedule just works for me.

I run 3 times a week (4 miles each time) on Tuesday/Thursday night and and Saturday morning. Each run takes about 30-45 minutes. I start my run around 9 p.m (after the kids go to bed) and finish around 9:45 p.m. I then take a shower and go to bed around 10:30 p.m or so. I average 12-15 miles a week. The routine is simple but works extremely well for me. All you have to do is figure out a schedule that works for you and stick with it. Staying active on a regular basis boosts self-confidence and happiness.

Working out can feel like a drill so it's very important to stay motivated. If buying new gear gets you excited to get back to your exercise routine then by all means, do it. Thanks to Kyodan for sending over these adorable pieces. I definitely feel motivated. Established in 2006, Kyodan is a leading active wear company based in Montreal. For the moment, Kyodan is exclusively sold at Marshalls and TJMaxx in the US, as well as at Winners and Marshalls in Canada and at TKMaxx in the UK. I am honestly impressed with the fabric. It holds everything tight in place and is so comfortable. Not to mention how cute and affordable they are! I hope you find this post helpful and inspired you in some way.
