China Glaze All Aboard Collection Swatches and Review: Part 2 – Loco-Motive

Hey there. Today I have swatches of the second half of the China Glaze Fall 2014 All Aboard Collection (see original press release here). This 6-piece set, called “Loco-Motive“, includes the six punchier shades and the lone glitter. I reviewed the first half, “All Aboard”, in this post. It’s hard to say which six I like better. I like them both for different reasons!

First up is One Track Mind, a beautiful bright navy blue. I love navy polish and I love cremes…so this was a winner from the start! Isn’t it gorgeous? Application was perfect, practically a one coater.

Next is Stop That Train! It’s a rich, rusty orange shimmer…perfect for Fall. It looks much redder in the press photos, so I was surprised. It’s not that unique, but it’s still stunning. I used two coats.

Mind the Gap is an oddball for me…talk about unique. I don’t have anything quite like it. It’s a green-gold shimmer. I don’t think it’s very flattering on me, but the formula was nice. I used three coats.

Next is Nice Caboose! It has a shimmery, raspberry base with an ultra light sprinkling of iridescent flakes. I seriously tried hard, but I couldn’t get many flakes to appear and I haven’t seen them in any other blogger swatches so far. You can definitely see them in the bottle. It’s still a really nice shade. I used two coats.

Well Trained is a blackened teal creme. It’s applies darker than it looks in the bottle. The formula is excellent…only took two coats for complete coverage.

And finally, the glitter. Loco-Motive has fine gunmetal grey glitters and small orange hex glitters in a clear base. I’ve swatched it over One Track Mind. The combo doesn’t show off the gunmetal glitters well, but I love the orange glitters against the navy blue. It’s really sparkly and delicate.

So do you like this set better? I’m crazy about the navy. Actually, I’m happy about the entire All Aboard Collection. It’s a solid collection with some real winners. Here are all the swatches together. Pretty, huh?
