Decleor Aroma Purete Imperfections Roll’On

I don’t know about you, but I’m one of those people who’s tried pretty much every spot treatment available in the agonising hope that the next new purchase will be the ‘miracle’ product that actually helps reduce my redness and spot size/development when I need it. Creams, gels, sprays – you name it, I’ve tried it. I’ve naturally got oily/combination skin, but it seems prone to drying too. Even natural tea-tree oil causes my skin to peel, which we all know is NOT a good look, especially when you need to conceal for work or a night out.

So it was on a complete whim that I brought the Decleor Aroma Purete Imperfections Roll’On from Feel Unique. I was repurchasing my regular skincare and actually needed to buy one more Decleor product to get a free gift set worth £60. I thought I’d give the spot treatment a go and I’m so glad I did!

The treatment has a blend of 5 specially selected Essential Oils effective especially on combination to oily skins. Many people make the mistake of stripping their skin of oil, thinking it is that which gives them spots. It is in fact the excess oil; your skin still needs it to hydrate, repair and remain supple. This roll-on cleanses the skin, quickly reducing the appearance of blemishes with Madagascan Ylang Ylang, Sage and Rosemary without drying or harming. It soothes red blotches using Lavender Essential Oil and tackles the unsightly blemishes with Lemon.

It tells you to apply it 4 to 5 times a day and following this guide was when I really noticed results. When I do get spots, they tend to be the big, angry, sore blemishes but after one day of application the inflammation had gone COMPLETELY. I’ve had absolutely no peeling or tightness, even with the frequent use. The scent is divine – floral and organic without being harsh or overpowering.

I’d recommend using your finger, rather than the roller ball. I circle the applicator onto the tip of my index finger and once I’ve got enough of the product I apply it to my spots gently in circular motions. At £12.75 (Feelunique), it isn’t cheap, but Decleor is a brand (my personal favourite) that I find more than delivers with each new purchase. I’ve been taking this product everywhere with me and after a month I still have plenty left.

This is the only spot treatment to have any effect on my skin and I will definitely buy it again. I know what works for me may not necessarily work for you, it’s the same with any product, but if like me you’re looking for a gentle, but highly effective spot lotion, definitely give this a go. If you have oily/combination skin, this product is definitely one to try!
