ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN HYDRA-GEL EYE MASKS

Having just celebrated another birthday, I’m all to aware of the importance of good skincare. I think my skin is pretty youthful on the whole, but one place I’m always gentle with is my eye area. I think your eyes are the first places to show signs of ageing – smile lines I can deal with but nobody wants crows feet or dark, puffy eyes from too many late nights. I’ve seen loads of undereye patches floating around and these are the first I’ve actually tried out for myself. They come from Elemis, which is one of my all time favourite skincare brands. Very few products from them have ever disappointed me, in fact I’m hard pressed to think of any I really dislike, so I had high hopes for these and I wasn’t disappointed. Whilst most undereye masks I’ve seen are white, these are on translucent patches, and are easy to apply. I was worried that they would move around or fall off but they stayed on really well and didn’t stray from where I’d put them. They have a gel-serum on one side which feels so refreshing and cool, these would be great to use the morning of a big event.

I left these on for about half an hour, a little longer than the recommended time but I had nowhere to go that morning and I thought my puffy eyes could benefit from it! After I removed them I rubbed in any excess serum and applied the rest of my morning skincare, the product sinks in nicely and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy or tacky, it’s absolutely fine to put makeup on afterwards. These masks come in a pack of six, and priced at £46 they aren’t cheap, but they break down at around £7 a go, which is about the same price as many single-use packs on the market. For me these are a special occasion treatment, if you have a wedding to attend, a photoshoot or a birthday meal these will leave you line free and plumped up, they aren’t an everyday product although if I could I would! They form part of the Pro Collagen line which is firmly established and excellent for people looking to prevent ageing. They contain plankton, Padina Pavonica and chlorella to tighten and firm your undereye area and a dose of hyaluronic acid which plumps your skin and alleviates any fine lines. Usually I have a few lines like most people, and my concealer tends to sink in a little bit, but after these I was completely smooth, like I had just come back from a relaxing spa weekend. Like I said, these are great for special occasions when you want to look flawless, or if you want to treat yourself!

The Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks are available now priced at £46
