We make no bake cookies all the time at our house. My kids love them because it's instant gratification...no waiting for the cookies to bake in the oven...we make them, we eat them. Typically, we make either
Chocolate,
Butterscotch or
Maple No Bakes but on this day, we made Candy Corn (with white chocolate chips). My kids were in Halloween Heaven!
This is the perfect little Friday afternoon treat for your little goblins :).
This recipe makes about two dozen cookies.
Shopping List 2 cups sugar 1 stick butter 1/2 cup milk 1 cup peanut butter 1 tablespoon vanilla 3 cups oatmeal 1 cup candy corn 1 cup white chocolate chips Wax paper for cooling
In a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil. Boil about a minute, then stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. Remove from heat and fold in your candy corn and white chocolate chips.
Drop by the tablespoon full on to wax paper to finish cooling (and they'll harden up). Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
Happy Friday friends!
