Okay so it is time for me to go over some of my current beauty favs.

Clarins Instant Light

Gorgeous, super glossy, smooth and natural looking lip gloss with a great selection of pretty colours. The one I tried and loved is called shimmer rose but the other colours look really pretty as well. What makes this lip gloss so great is the fact that it does not get sticky or become lumpy after a while but it still makes your lips very glossy (which is rare for a moisturizing gloss).

BareMinerals Faux Tan For Face

This face self tanner is the real deal, the self tanner extraordinaire! First of all I love that it has a bronzer (coloured formula for those new to self tanning) so you can see where you apply it straight away. Nothing worse than realising you missed a spot when you wake up the next morning… Also it is amazing to use when you don’t want to wear make up but feel too pale to go without. It literally dries in a minute and it gives a warm brown glow (not at slightest bit of orange). The only con with it is that it makes your skin a bit dry, so don’t forget to use a lot of moisturize on the days when you don’t use product. Most face self tanners can clog the skin, so if you have very oily skin I would not recommend to use self tanners in the face. Then it is better to use self tanner on the body and create the bronzed look in the face with make up instead

Clarins True Radiance

Clarins states that this foundation will booth even, moist and illuminate the skin. To quote their description: “A lightweight, moisturising formula that glides onto skin perfectly, boosting natural radiance and luminosity. Reveals the skin’s natural luminosity with the anti-pollution action of Moringa seed plant extract. Boosts natural radiance with light-reflecting pigments. 24-hour hydration*: it infuses the epidermis with moisture to leave it glowing with vitality”.

We all know that brands like to promise a lot and not always offer as much. But I must say I think the skin looks even and have just enough coverage, not too much, not too little. The skin looks very moisturized with a nice healthy glow for a couple of hours, but the glow does not last as long as e.g Kanebo Sensai Fluid Finish. After a couple of hours I think the formula looks a bit more matte, but still with a very nice finish. The selection of colours also impressed me and I use the colour 108/Sand which suits me perfectly. I would rate this product with a 4,5 out of 5 which is a very high score for a foundation.

The only thing that surprised me with the product is the scent. It smells like divine watermelon, which is a bit weird since it is a foundation and perfume usually seems unnecessary in such products. But I guess it is always a good thing to smell nice in the face as well haha J

Mac Naked Lip Liner

I wrote in an earlier blog post that I could not find a perfect nude lip liner. I recently discovered this liner and it is really nice. However it is on the bright side, so if you have a darker skin tone this might be too bright. I have tired it both when I am pale and when I had a spraytan and it looked great on both occasions. If the “Naked Liner” is too bright for you, I know that MAC have some other options for darker nude colours

Braun Silk Epil 7

This product offers several different options, epilator, shaver and exfoliator. The epilator is thought to be used in the shower as warm water is very soothing and makes it less painful. I have not tried the exfoliator yet but will give it a try before my next spraytan and also after when it’s starting to come off. What I really like about this products is the razor, it gives such a close shave that it is basically as good as a normal razor! This is something unique as most electronic shavers do not give the same smooth results as a normal shaver. But the best thing about it is that it does not leave the skin those nasty little red bumps as shaving can do (especially underneath the arms etc). This is perfect for people with sensitive skin. Also if you like to shave your arms or upper legs (or any other area of the body), this works a charm as well. I like to shave my arms and upper legs before a spraytan, not because I have dark hair (I have super blonde hair so I am not that vain lol), but to make the spraytan dry better and to make it last longer. If you have a lot of hair on your body they spraytan will stick on those hairs and it will take forever to dry. So that is just a little pro tips from me if you like fake tanning

Eos organic lip balm

I used this product a lot in 2009 after they sponsored one of my fashion events ages ago. But after a while I forgot about it and when I was in the store a couple of weeks ago I saw it on the shelf and though I need to try it again. And oh how I missed this products, this balm is amazing, can’t beleive I have been without it for 4 years! The flavour I like is called summer fruit.
