Scott Pilgrim Gets Married! (When Geeks Wed)

Today’s shoot is inspired by one of my favorite graphic novels Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley and features some fun and colorful inspiration for a hopefully evil ex free wedding day.

Putting together a great group of vendors who embraced the shoot’s geeky theme, Miranda of Inner Circle Photography along with All About You Productions prove that weddings truly can be ‘all about you’ in this styled shoot based on the film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The stage, literally, for this shoot took place at Michigan’s the Andiamo Novi Theatre in reference to Scott’s band Sex Bob-Omb playing/battling on stage in the film.

“A little while back I had the opportunity to work with a great group of vendors on a fun styled shoot. When Miranda from Inner Circle Photography first approached me about the idea of doing a shoot, she suggested a theme based on the movie “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”. I immediately ordered it on Netflix so I could see what this was all about it. Although, I cannot say that it was my kind of movie, I had some ideas. It was definitely a challenge for me, but I am always up for a challenge,” writes Melissa from All About You Productions.

A palette of red, blue and yellow gives the shoot a comic book feel with accents of black and white polka dots throughout. Amity from Marbella Couture designed and hand-made the perfect polka dot wedding dress for the shoot with pops of red color, and how much do you love that red veil?
