Hot Date Essentials

I swear, men have it soooo easy when it comes to date night prep. What do they have to really do anyway? Shower? Maybe iron a shirt? Whatever is it, it doesn’t compare to what women go though to get ready for a night out.

I usually start prepping for date night the day before. I like washing my hair in advance so that it’s a little dirty…my curls (or whatever I decide to do with my hair!) hold better. I also like to shave a day ahead of time too. This Not Your Ordinary Daily Shampoo and Conditioner is perfect for doing both! Obviously, it’s great for my hair. But I love using the conditioner as a shaving cream, too. It makes my legs so smooth and soft! Plus, both products have a light coconut scent…smells so good.

For my body, I love a great exfoliating scrub. The Lemon Sugar Body Scrub is my favorite! It cleans up all those little rough patches and leaves my skin feeling soft. Sometimes I just rub in on my hands and feet, but for date nights I use it on my elbows, knees, upper thighs, and tush. Gotta make sure everything is soft and smooth!

Now for the actual night of date night, there’s a whole ‘nother list of things to do! After I finish my makeup, before I apply any lip stick, I coat my lips heavily with Rose Salve. This stuff hydrates my lips and allows for a smooth and easy application of my lipstick. Once I do apply my lip color, I follow up with Mentha Lip Shine. It’s adds just the right amount of shine to my lips…plus it has a great minty taste.

And of course, I have to moisturize my body as well! I’m a sucker for anything lemon or citrus scent. This lemon body lotion totally fits the bill…it really smells like lemons!

By looking at these pictures, you cannot tell that I just pampered myself with all sorts of bottles of beauty goodness. I know my husband had no idea! But it was all worth the effort when he felt how smooth my skin was and noticed how great I smelled (he especially loved the scent of my hair!)
