NEW Yarok Feed Your Moisture Shampoo Review

Today’s review is featuring a new product from Yarok Hair and it’s the Feed Your Moisture Shampoo. I tried this one out a few months ago while I was in Lake Tahoe and I just haven’t gotten around to posting my review until now, but I have to say I was seriously impressed!

Why Yarok Is Awesome

First off, if you’re unfamiliar, Yarok formulates all of their hair care products with natural and organic ingredients to cleanse, nourish, hydrate, heal and protect your locks from harm. I love their products because they utilize natural ingredients, but they also create formulas that actually work and smell amazing without the guilt of using products that could potentially be harmful to your health. On top of that, their products are nearly all certified organic, vegan, cruelty free, and sourced with a conscious as well as responsibly harvested. They also donate 3% of all their profits to the Pachamama Alliance, a non-profit group that works to protect millions of acres of the Amazon rainforest from harm.

The Ingredients

This formula utilizes gems such as Organic African Black Soap and a vitamin-infused water based coupled with nourishing oils such as Argan oil and Organic Coconut and Hemp Seed oils to cleanse your scalp and hair without stripping it of it’s natural oils. It also includes a lovely blend of organic herbal extracts such as ylang ylang, rosemary, and orange for a completely lovely scent that is totally intoxicating, yet light.

Initially, I was worried about the African Black Soap in this formula as I’ve had bad experiences with that ingredient in the past. It’s often been a bit too heavy on my skin and as I have quite fine hair, I was worried that it would weigh my hair down. That was not the case, thankfully!

My Thoughts

The first thing I noticed about this shampoo was it’s amazing scent; it’s delicate and subtle, but totally delicious and pleasant when you are in the shower. It actually made something like washing my hair, which usually feels laborious, feel pleasant and enjoyable. Add to that the incredible texture and softness it gave my hair, and I think this one is a HUGE winner!

Not only does this completely soften your locks and keep them free of frizz, but it’s also a great standalone product. What I mean by that is, it’s not just a shampoo that’s only as good as it’s conditioner. Some shampoos, I feel, are really only good when used in a set. This one is a fantastic product on it’s own. You can use it as a shampoo and it’s cleansing, softening and really enough to use just by itself. It was all I had on my Lake Tahoe trip and it kept my hair soft and manageable. No crunchy lake hair at all.

I will definitely be ordering this one in the full size first chance I get and if you haven’t yet jumped on the Yarok Hair bandwagon and you have any hair troubles at all, this is a great product to try out!
