I adore mauvey grape lip colours for Autumn, but I find that they are tricky for me to pull off (I find warmer, brown based berry shades far easier to wear). I think the most flattering way to wear mauve/grape for me is as a statement lip- keeping the rest of the face neutral, minimalist, and glowy with plenty of highligher.
This is a FOTD shot that I took before going to work and I’m wearing Illamasqua Magnetism lipstick- a beautiful mauve grape/berry that I had reviewed in an earlier post.

Eyes:
- I applied the Camel shade from the Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage Eyeshadow Quad all over the lid with the darker chocolate brown in the outer V. I took some of the chocolate brown shade and smudged it under the bottom lashline, concentrating the colour on the outer corner for an wide-eyed look.
- on top of the Camel shade I applied the matte white shade from Cocoa Mirage on the mobile lid, below the crease.
- For a champagne accent on the upper lid, I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded on top of the matte white eyeshadow closest to the upper lashline.
- I used Daniel Sandler Velvet Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown
Cheeks:
- Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Destiny
Lips:
- Illamasqua Magnetism Lipstick
- I also used some of the Color Tattoo in Barely Branded as a cupid’s bow highlight.
