POPULAR PHILLY STREET ART BLOG WILL HOST TEDXWALK FOR TEDXPHILADELPHIA

Conrad Brenner, creator of the popular Philadelphia based street art blog, Streets Dept will be hosting a TEDxWalk this Saturday as part of TEDxPhiladelphia 2014. The tour will highlight standout Philadelphia public art from internationally renown artists like: Vhils, Gaia and Kenny Scharf – to name a few. According to Brenner the tour will start in Midtown Village (Center City), followed by a ride on the Market-Frankford El (Steve Powers Love Letters to Philadelphia murals resides along that route) to Fishtown where we will see the work of a several prominent local artists.

Philadelphia has the largest public art collection in the country – there’s no bigger cheerleader for Philadelphia Street Art than Brenner. With him at the helm I’m confident this walk will be an enthusiastic dig deeper into Philly’s public art scene. Unfortunately, last time I checked both the first walk & encore walk were SOLD OUT. I’ll give you the link anyway – who knows maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll add another.

I’ll be taking to Instagram (@hahamag) during the tour for those of you who can’t be in Philly for this. Though I can’t promise my photos will make up for missing Brenner’s witty repartee.
