funny book, lazy dinner, hilly run

Hello hello! Happy hump day!

I made it back to Nashville late last night after finishing Where’d You Go, Bernadette? on the plane.

It was an easy, entertaining, and hilarious read!

Then I taxi-ed home and went straight to the grocery store to snag some sliced turkey before the deli closed. I know, life can be thrilling sometimes.

The result was a lazy sandwich that hit the spot at my 10 p.m. dinner time.

Paired with broccoli and an episode of The Bachelorette. (Anthony’s out of town, so I went all out.)

All that true love romance kept me up pretty late, but I managed to wake up bright and early to meet with East Nasty!

I did a couple of miles myself before the group met up to discuss the morning’s painful agenda.

The seven-mile mountainous loop is called “The Nasty,” and it’s especially nasty when it’s 75 degrees with 94% humidity

I ran with a buddy I met last week at a long run, and we tackled the hills one by one. Luckily there were plenty of downhills and scenic spots to ease the pain, and we had some good chats along the way (except on the uphills, when we observed a silence code to save our breath!)

Around mile 5.5 we summited “Mount Nasty,” which is the club’s signature incline. The view from the top (aka, I needed an excuse to stop and catch my breath so I decided to take a photo):

and an elevation map for all my geeky friends.

Thanks for getting me out there, East Nasty! I’ll be back for more torture soon.

Have a great day!
