weekend highlights

Hi! I have an overload of photos and need to share them before I take 100 more this Sunday. A quick weekend recap:

Friday – a cold but pretty 5k with Brita!

Brita (who already kicks butt on the roller derby court) is thinking about doing a triathlon and is upping her running game. Go, girl!
Friday night Anthony and I ate about 100,000 different mini dishes at Taste of Nashville. Full recap coming soon!
Then I was back in Shelby Park on Saturday for another run. Since daylight savings hit, I’ve been able to run in the park in the morning again. Yay.
Since my marathon is a week away, the goal of the run was to practice race pacing.
I tried to stick to a steady 7:45-7:50 pace the whole time. Slightly faster than my usual easy run, but still comfortable.
A little faster than I was hoping for, but not too bad!
Now I just need to hold that pace for 20 more miles this Saturday… :0

Biggest accomplishment of the weekend: baking my first semi-successful SWIRL bread! (Carbtastic chronicles post coming soon)

After such hard work, wine tacos sounded too right. Followed by too much Mad Men.
Now, we’re off to tackle a big to-do list and some fun outings too Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!
