A Gentleman of Style

I've always studied men which whom I think possess great taste in clothing; that wear clothes well, and have a great sense of what looks good on them and their body type. Now, I know, men have it a little easier than women when it comes to what they can and should wear to each occasion. (We just have SO many options, and quite frankly, so many ways to get things ALL wrong). Anyway, one such man that I have always admired for his sense of style is my brother, Matthew. On a day to day basis (when he's not working) he has been known to rock Wranglers, Cowboy Boots, any flavor of button-down from blue gingham to green stripes and, of course, he's always sporting his trusty tortoise shell Ray Bans. However, these aren't the things that make his outfits special. What makes Matthew someone that I admire for his style are the details with which he adds to these seemingly basic outfits: the bow ties, the camel-haired jackets, the slight variation in his pant color that make a basic navy suit something completely different, or (arguably) most notably his grey shawl-collared dinner jacket. Now I know there are a lot of men out there that don't enjoy dressing in anything other than a fraternity tshirt and a pair of ratty jeans, but trust me, that cute girl that you are trying to impress is checking out the guys who have a dressier style and take care of the details.
For the gentlemen in the ratty tshirts, FormalTailor can fix you up with everything from a full-on tuxedo (not encouraged for daily use) to the small details such as bow ties and cufflinks and everything in between. I'm really enjoying this Navy 1 Button Notch Lapel with amazing black piping--but go have fun amping up your wardrobes, and let me know how it goes!

Also a BIG Happy Birthday to Matthew, whose Birthday was May 3rd!
