Chamonix

A couple of weeks ago we headed out to Chamonix over the Jubilee weekend to celebrate the marriage of two of our friends. It was an incredible wedding in the most beautiful setting and it was great to get away from rainy England and recharge the batteries.
I took some photos using instagram that I wanted to share with you here because they are so fun. Followgram is a great online tool to organise and store your instagram photos too which has been a bit of a revelation to me this past week. If you'd like to you can follow me @WestEggUK on both.

Tiny climbers

We went up to see Mont Blanc which was freezing.
When we got in the cable car everyone looked like us in light summer clothes and when we got out suddenly everyone was wearing puffa jackets and hats. What did we miss?!

The view from the top.
We all got jelly legs looking down and there was a crazy staircase wrapped around the side of the rock which was see-through. No thank you.

Windy at the top.
It makes me cold looking at this photograph, I'm wearing a cotton shirt, cardigan and linen scarf. Ridiculous.

The XXXL St Bernard dogs at the terrace where we went for lunch after our expedition. I think AlfiePug is the size of their heads.

Lastly, the view from our hotel. Lush and green with gigantic mountains in the background - totally picturesque! I've never been to the Alpes before outside ski season so this was really a fun trip and I'd love to do it again. It almost makes me want to take up hiking.
