Derma MD Skincare

I was recently contacted by Derma MD to try out some of their skincare products. Since I have been obsessed with skincare lately I jumped at the chance to try out some new products.

Founded in 2001, Derma MD develops their products using the most advanced ingredients and incorporating these specific ingredients at the highest percentages and most effective concentration levels available in the industry. Each of their products specifically focus on target areas for which they are needed to correct specific problems, giving optimal result.

Wasabi Cleanser is designed to remove surface oil, bacteria and debris without stripping the skin of its natural oils. It helps to control the acne "p" bacteria, leaving the skin free of blemishes, as it deeply and gently cleanses the skin.

As much as I enjoy trying new skincare products, I am always hesitant about switching out my cleanser. I was really intrigued at first by this because of the smell. It has a mild eucalyptus-type scent, which I'm pretty sure is the leaf extract and wasabi root. While I have used it less then a week, so far I really like it. It cleans well without stripping my skin. I have also used it without first removing my make-up and it takes everything off at once . . . no extra products, no extreme rubbing! The back label also explains that this cleanser can be used for shaving to reduce razor bumps and sooth the skin. I haven't used it yet for shaving, but I will definitely be trying it for that!

Organic Illuminating Serum contains vitamin C to increase tightening, reduce appearance of fine lines, hyper pigmentation, lightens dark spots, softens deep furrows leaving skin with a more luminous, smoother, younger looking appearance.

I have only used this a few times since receiving it, but even after the first application, my skin just looked better. It looked younger and a little more radiant. I also liked that it didn't leave a film on my face like some serums do.

Lightening & Brightening Cre'me contains a proprietary formulation of Kojic Acid (from powder) bearberry, mulberry extracts and licorice root to lighten and brighten and dark pigmented areas on the body or face.

This is another product that pulled me in by its smell. You can definitely smell the licorice root. I normally hate licorice but this was more minty and just smelled good. I haven't used it enough to notice too much of a difference, but I love that its not a mask like other products for hyper-pigmentation. This is a true cream that you blend into your skin twice a day. Its light weight and blends into the skin very well. This is one product that I see myself using a lot, because it contains natal products and is so easy to use.

Daytime Moisturizer with SPF 50 is a silky daytime moisturize that provides 50 times your natural protection from the sun, blocking a very broad spectrum of UVA and UVB rays. Formulated in an oil free moisturizing base. It is non-comedogenic, fragrance-free and formulated for all skin types, including sensitive, oily and post treatment.

I really like that this has an SPF 50. SPF is super important to begin with, but if you are someone like me that gets breakouts, you really want to make sure you are using an SPF every single day, The suns rays can penetrate any blemishes you have and cause them to darken resulting in hyper-pigmentation. Trust me when I tell you how difficult it is and what a process it is to combat dark spots, so if you can prevent them you definitely want to.

This is also a very lightweight moisturizer. The consistency is kind of a whipped cream, which I really like. And again, with the SPF, I am going to be using this all summer long, and throwing it in my bag when I go out to the pool or head to the beach!

Lip Plump hydrates and condition lips while plumping and reducing lines.
Encapsulated hyaluronic acid spheres keep lips hydrated and moist, while peptides increase collagen to provide fullness to lips.
Normally I can not use lip plumbers. The ingredients don't agree with me, my lips end up on fire and I look like I just got stung in the lips by a bee. This is not that product! In the tube, the color doesn't look like anything I would really use, but it is actually pretty sheer and has a slight shimmer to it. I think it would be great over another lipstick. You can kind of feel it work, but not to the extend that I have experienced in the past. Its more of a subtle sensation and afterwards my lips actually did look plumped (and not in the a bumble bee just stung me kind of way).

The folks at Derma MD were so super nice and generous for sending me these products. They asked me my skin concerns and recommended products based on that. I also love that their products use a lot of natural ingredients.
