Two things lately have increased my love, appreciation, and endless hunting for new art in my life. First – our hosting of art walks in the studio. When I see talent in my own city, I want to celebrate it and share it! And second, I’ve finally gotten to the point in my loft decorating process where I’ve got to finish the art wall. So, with all the cool art I’ve been scoping out lately, I thought it only fair to share…

Collecting art should be a never-ending process, but at the moment I need at least a few new pieces to fill these big ‘ol walls, and I would die for one of them to be from artist Emily Ferretti.

This blue series is so right where my eye and aesthetic are right now. A modern take on the traditional still life, they’ve got that perfect mix of strong shapes and organic lines…

Her newest collection is equally beautiful, more abstract in nature, and muted in color…

I love the way these look all together, but they’re very strong on their own too. That beautiful natural linen gives it a bit of a retro style, don’t you think? So cool.
