Starting the Big Kid Room

A few months ago, I showed you how I updated a space in our home using a bookcase. With little man’s bedroom completed, it is time to move on to the big kid’s space. The Tower Bookcase from Sauder Furniture is something that has been used a couple different places in our home. Its clean lines make it work with many different design styles.

It first was in my office, then it became a temporary pet station in our kitchen, and now it is giving our son’s room some much-needed shelving.

I have just started revisiting the design plan for my oldest’s bedroom. My boys definitely have opposite styles, so it is going to be fun to switch gears for this room makeover. I don’t want to share too much of the room just yet, but I did want to show you how we worked the bookcase into his space.

He needed a place to display the things he likes. This tall bookcase is a great space saver and the open design makes it appear to not eat up space or affect your line of sight.

Whether it’s an adult space or kid space, I think it just adds to your atmosphere to have a lovely styled piece of furniture. If you can display the things you love in a meaningful way, it adds something special to a space.

This is where this bookcase is going to stay and I can’t wait to get cracking on the projects for this room!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Sauder. The opinions and text are all mine.
