On Friday I went to a fashion show in aid of Hospice care North Northumberland. It was held in Alnwick castle (where some of Harry Potter was filmed). It was an evening packed full of intricate handmade corsets, Dorothy Perkins spring collection, singing and raffles. But behind all of it was a message about Hospice care who delivers care and support to adults who have life limiting illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and other conditions, and their families and carers. The highlight of the evening was, instead of having professional models, they had carers, patients and family’s transform into models for the evening and strut their stuff on the catwalk. Women of all different shapes and sizes and all with smiles on their faces came down that catwalk like their was no stopping them!
