Craftsy classes are online, so they are available to you anytime you want for as long as you want, there are no scheduled class times, so you can enjoy them entirely on your own schedule. Each class is taught by an acclaimed instructor and consists of several hours of HD-quality video content… but Craftsy classes are much more than just a video!

While taking a Craftsy class, you can:

  • Ask your instructor questions, upload photos, and get personalized responses
  • Participate in discussions with your classmates
  • Access supporting class materials – including recipes and helpful tips & tricks
  • Bookmark your favorite moments in the video so that you can easily re-watch them and take notes that you can refer back to anytime

I had the opportunity to take this class online as well. And there is a lot to learn! I’m a busy person. But what I loved about the Craftsy course is that I could take the class – start and stop – whenever I had time. I could take a lesson here, and a lesson there, whatever worked with my schedule. The class was easy to follow, with clear lessons and topics. And guess what – if you didn’t understand or catch something the first time, you could replay the entire lesson or just portions of it!

I also enjoyed the topics that were covered in the course. They talk about how to take photos of children, which I don’t know about you, but I find it to be one of the more challenging aspects of photography! They also cover photo composition, posing groups, lighting, photo adjustments in Lightroom and Photoshop and much much more! The adjustments I particularly enjoyed; I always find it helpful to check out those tutorials and I think I’ve decided that I really need Lightroom!

I decided to put some of my learning to use right after the class. One thing I took away, is finding a spot in your HOME to take pictures! I’m always working with backdrops and in environments, but the class gave me an idea to use a chair we have, right in our living room to snap a few photos of one of my kids!

It will definitely take a little more practice before I’m ready to take on full family portraits, but I feel equipped now to work in that direction.

Now what about you? If you could use tips and tricks on photography and want to learn how to take beautiful, professional-looking photos of your own family with Craftsy’s free Professional Family Portraits class. Sign up now for this free Professional Family Portraits class!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Craftsy. The opinions and text are all mine.
