Flawless On A Budget

So, I'm going to do something a little different around here today, after I got a few requests yesterday for a post on what makeup I was wearing in the photos I posted. None of this is sponsored and these products were all purchased with my own doll-hairs, they all happen to be pretty budget savvy which is why I started thinking this may not be a bad post idea after all.

For the most part, my makeup routine is incredibly budget friendly and, over the years, I've dropped the majority of the pricey designer products I was using and replaced them with drugstore brands. While a few of my drugstore brand trials weren't all that successful, the ones I'm about to introduce you to are tried and true, and I haven't looked back on my designer days since I began using the more affordable products.

(Posting these in the exact order in which I apply them, for those following along.)

TOO FACED PRIMED AND PORELESS//
This is one of the designer products I've yet to let go of, mostly because I haven't finished the tube yet. It makes my skin like smooth as a baby's ass and I'm a huge fan. Though once I'm out of it, there's a good chance I'll be in Ulta searching for a cheaper version.

NYX FULL COVERAGE CONCEALER//
I use this stuff below my eyes because sometimes I don't get enough sleep and things tend to get scary under there. The jar says "full coverage" and they mean it, this shit is too legit to quit. It also covers up any other crap on your face you don't wish to share with the world. Embrace.

REVLON PHOTOREADY FOUNDATION//
2 pumps foundation 1/4 pump of Cetaphil lotion
Pretty sure I've let this cat out of the bag here before, but for those just tuning in, this is my secret to the whole "BB/CC/DD/ZZ/whatever whatever" cream fad. It also cuts back on how much of the Revlon foundation I use which saves me even more money. AKA mama likey. Also, the Revlon foundation is the absolute tits. If they ever stop making this I may, or may not, have a meltdown.

NYX POWDER FOUNDATION//
I just recently switched to this powder after being a lifelong user of MAC's infamous, and horribly overpriced, Studio Fix powder. There was a time when I said I'd never ditch Studio Fix and then I tried out the NYX, because it was so damn cheap, and I fell in love. Great coverage, easy application, awesome results.

NYX LIQUID ILLUMINATOR//
Another one I just recently switched over to, after I finished my last bottle of High Beam. The price tags are ridiculously different but the results are 100% the same. If I wasn't slightly bitter about the dollars I've dropped on High Beam in the past, I'd snuggle this shit at night. Seriously, awesome dupe.

MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH BRONZER//
To be honest, I'm just waiting for this to run out and then I'll probably never purchase another high dollar bronzer. There's nothing special about it and I'm almost positive NYX has a comparable product that dupes it.

NYX EYEBROW PENCIL//
This guy is what eyebrow dreams are made of, and that's coming from someone whose been terrified of eyebrow pencils her entire life. The brush makes it really easy to blend and once you're done coloring yourself some brows on, you'll realize that you should have been using an eyebrow pencil all along. Live and learn, live and learn.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE EYESHADOW//
Shade: Hourglass Beige
I replaced my MAC Nylon for this shadow about 6 months ago and have never been more pleased with a duplicate product in my life. Actually, I'd say I love this highlighting shadow more than I loved MAC's Nylon, which is a bold fucking statement because I've gone through about 10 pots of Nylon in my lifetime. The formula of this shadow is what dreams are made of. Use it on the insides of your eyes and under your brows. The end.

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE//
Huge fan of this palette and it's gorgeous neutral shades. Then again, this is my third Naked palette and I've loved every single one. Admittedly, these shadows are worth every penny and, really, for the amount of product you get in one of these palettes, it's a steal in the long run. I still have plenty left from my original Naked 1 palette and I got that baby the day it was released. I guess you could call this my one splurge.

L'OREAL LINEUR INTENSE//
I've been using this liquid liner since I started wearing makeup and have never found one that trumps it. This liner is the easiest to use and perfect for a good wing. Seriously, for your upper lids, if you're not using this liner you're probably wasting an extra 10 minutes of your day trying to apply your liner. Easiest. Liner. Ever. I mean it.

As far as mascara goes, I've been using MAC's 3D mascara and loving it, but with the $20 price tag I've been debating a switch. Stay tuned for that one.

That's about all I've got for you all today. Go getcho budget beauty on, my friends.
See ya!
