Americana Adventures with GUESS...

When I think of the term Americana, not only denim looks come to my head but also a free-spirited, sexy, and adventurous way of living. I’ve been saying I want to do a road trip for a while, I really want to visit new places in the U.S….and I’m not talking about the big cities. I want to venture into small towns, visit their old diners, and learn about their history.
This season, GUESS, the iconic American brand, went back to its roots and took inspiration from the authentic American soul of Nashville’s music scene. The fall collection, a mix of rock n’ roll meets romance, features a variety of denim-focused looks, romantic floral prints, satin, lace, and leather. There were so many pieces I loved, that I even went back to get a gorgeous floral kimono.

Inspired by the collection, I headed to the coolest diner in town. I fully embodied the American way by dressing in denim on denim on denim… plus I ordered a milkshake and a burger…it doesn’t get more Americana than that, right?

Cuando pienso en la palabra "Americana"; no solo se me vienen a la cabeza looks con mucho jeans, sino también un estilo de vida libre, sexy y aventurero. Llevo diciendo que quiero hacer un viaje en carretera de costa a costa desde hace mucho tiempo. Más que conocer grandes ciudades, quiero visitar pequeños pueblos y conocer un poquito más de su historia.

Esta temporada, GUESS, la conocida marca americana, quiso regresar a sus raíces y se inspiró en la escena musical de Nashville. La colección de otoño, una mezcla de rock and roll y una onda romántica, cuenta con muchos looks llenos de mezclilla, estampados de flores, satín, encaje, y un poco de cuero. Me encantaron tantas piezas, que después de esta colaboración, regresé a comprar un kimono de flores.

Inspirada en la colección, fui a un "diner" espectacular que hay en Miami. Siento que personifiqué totalmente lo "Americana" al utilizar doble mezclilla….y bueno me comí una hamburguesa y una batita. ¡Abrazos!
