"My Party Rules"… + TOPSHOP GIVEAWAY

This look is part of a fun Holiday collaboration with TOPSHOP and Chictopia. Topshop challenge me to head to my closest store, get a look I would wear for Christmas and share 5 of my rules-not-really-rules for the Holiday parties.
1. Wear something you wouldn't before. Three years ago I wore red lipstick on New Years, I loved getting out of my comfort zone and I haven't stopped wearing dark lipstick since then. 2. Talking about lipstick… a burgundy or red lipstick make any look more glam- there's an instant boost of confidence when you wear dark lipstick. 3. If you are going to be partying the whole day, think COMFORT first. I love my heels, but there are so many cute options for flats (check out these with sequins!!). In this case; instead of wearing a dress, I went for a romper…the velvet makes it as elegant but I can dance and move all night without any issues. 4. Sequins are a must for me during the Holidays; I love this black sequined jacket from TOPSHOP , it gives the look the final touch. If you don't dare, just add a sparkly clutch or a shimmery eyeshadow. 5. Have fun, be yourself; this is the last chapter of 2014, let's make it AMAZING!

Este look es parte de una divertida colaboración navideña con TOPSHOP y Chictopia. Topshop me retó a ir a mi tienda más cercana, escoger un look que usaría esta Navidad, y contarles 5 de mis reglas-no-tan-reglas para las fiestas navideñas.
1. Utiliza algo que generalmente no usarías. Hace 3 años utilicé pintura de labios roja (cosa que nunca hacía hasta ese momento… y ahora siento que me hace falta cuando no uso color en los labios). 2. Hablando de pintura de labios…con un tono rojo y borgoña, te verás y sentirás más elegante en cualquier fiesta. 3. Si vas a estar de fiesta TODA la noche, la comodidad es primordial. Puedes utilizar unos zapatos bajos (¿qué tal estos con lentejuelas para hacer tu look más festivo?). Yo adoro mis tacones altos, así que en este look opté por un romper de TOPSHOP en vez de un vestido- al ser de terciopelo se ve elegante pero me puedo mover y bailar sin problemas toda la noche. 4. Las lentejuelas no pueden faltar: para mi las lentejuelas son sinónimo de Navidad y Año Nuevo- esta chaqueta de lentejuelas de TOPSHOP da el toque final pero si no te atreves a usar una pieza completa, prueba una carterita con brillo como esta. 5. Diviértete, se tu misma; este es el momento para cerrar con broche de oro el año viejo y recibir con los brazos abiertos un año nuevo lleno de nuevas experiencias.
