Fall Halloween Pennant Banner Tutorial

Hello, It's Amanda from mommy is coocoo today I am going to show you a simple (six easy steps) pennant banner tutorial. Aside from the fire (hope I've peeked your curiosity), you can work on it with your kids and it's FREE!

*This is really important! After I cut all of my triangles it occurred to me I should have made this banner reversible! Beware on one side and Autumn or Harvest on the other. All of my pennants have grocery store adds on the back but you should definitely make your banner reversible!

Supply List:
  • grocery store bags
  • rope {I used hemp}
  • hot glue & hot glue gun
  • clicker {isn't this what everyone calls long lighters?}
  • black marker {or whatever color you like}
1. Gather some brown bags.
2. Cut the bags into triangles.

3. Draw Beware or whatever you would like on one side of your banner. Draw a second message like Autumn or Harvest on the other side.

4. Crumble each of your pennants and immerse them in water (Don't be scared ~ this will give your pennant an aged look). Lay the pennant flat on the cabinet to dry.

5. Burn the sides of each pennant for a spookier look.

6. Overlap your pennants and

use hot glue to attach rope to the back.

Now you are ready to hang your banner!
