Dior BB Eye Creme

This Dior BB Eye Creme is one that has been in my life and make-up bag for a few months – actually, for longer than I realised! But I actually take this to be a good sign – it means it’s one I’m really loving if I’ve been too busy using it to realise that I hadn’t told you all about it. This is the Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme and it promises to offer a bit of a combination of skincare and make-up in one little tube. Combining hydration, and illumination to the eye area – plus added SPF 20.

The shade is luminous beige and it’s a good match for the skin on my face most of the year – perhaps slightly better in Summer than Winter. It feels very light on the eye area and absorbs quickly. It delivers more coverage than other ‘typical’ eye illuminator creams such as Touche Eclat. But with a similar brightening effect on the eye area – but maybe a tad more natural when under flash photography.

For me, I need something that is really hydrating at the same time as concealing as there are too many concealers I’ve tried that are great at covering fine lines…but maybe a bit rubbish at keeping the eye area hydrated (or vice versa). But for me this strikes a good balance. I wasn’t blown away by it at first or anything, but have found that over time it’s become a real staple for day to day make-up for me.
