A night at The Mondrian London with Witch Skincare

So last night I had one of those ‘what is going on in my life’ moments where I have to pinch myself. I was invited to join a whole host of other lovely bloggers at the newly opened The Mondrian London hotel to spend the evening finding out all about Witch Skincare over a delicious dinner – followed by a stay overnight in the hotel. The hotel is located right next to the Oxo Tower in the new ‘Sea Containers’ building and boasts rather impressive views. The view from my window showed the London skyline featuring the London Eye and Oxo Tower as key landmarks. The interior of the hotel is really inspired by ships and shipping – as you can probably see by some of the lobby details below – like the copper bottom of a ship and the blue anchor chain looking sculpture…

So after a quick check in to the rooms to *ooh and aah* at all the lovely little details I headed down for the dinner. We were greeted with a gorgeous setting of Autumnal gorgeousness – with pine cones, pumkins and gorgeous flowers covering the full length of the table. Of course all interspersed with some lovely little turquoise touches and the classic Witch Skincare products. On the topic of Witch, for me it’s a brand that I will always have a soft spot for after the Witch Skincare challenge I took part in years ago (2011!) and was still one of my most memorable blogging experiences! It’s a range that whilst it’s not always part of my day to day, as sadly I’m past the typical age for ‘spot control’ and now more into hydrating and anti-ageing. But, as with most people I do have the odd break out and for me, blackheads are still a number one issue. So things like their classic Blemish Stick and the new Blackhead Gel are the ones on my radar. The Blackhead Gel is one I tried for the first time last night when I gave myself a mini facial when I got back to the room – first impressions are good. Will give it a few more trials and then do a proper review!

But back to the evening – we were enjoying a gorgeous three course dinner (foody snaps below for those of you who love a bit of #foodporn ) and hearing from the brand’s Dermatologist – Dr Justine Hextall- about how Autumn/Winter is when we think our skin looks the worst (Summer we think it looks the best FYI). She shared some great tips on how to make sure your skin looks it’s best year-round that can be found on the Switch To Witch website.

After the delicious dinner and a couple more drinks in the waterfront bar at the hotel I made my way back up to the room (I adore staying in hotels, so always keen to make the most of it!) to give myself a bit of a pamper with the Witch Skincare products that had been handily placed around the room for me! I also slipped into the rather awesome personalise PJ’s all ready to enjoy the total perk of a whole bed to myself! For the facial I removed my make-up with Bioderma first, then used the Witch Skincare Bursting Beads Face Wash for a cleanse. Giving myself a double cleanse and using the lovely fluffy flannels from the hotel bathroom. Then I followed with the Black Head Clearing Gel – that helps to gently exfoliate skin. Then finished off with my usual eye cream and moisturiser combo before jumping into bed for a totall un-cool finish to the night watching a house renovation show on the TV whilst I dozed off…

It was a gorgeous way to spend the evening, with a load of fellow bloggers – some I’ve known for years and some others that it was nice to meet for the first time. Enjoying an amazing meal, hearing all about the latest from Witch Skincare then being treated to the luxury night in the hotel. Not a bad way to kick off the weekend huh?! On the topic of Witch Skincare – what have you tried from the range?! Any product loves in there?!

Thank you to Witch Skincare for having me – definitely another one to add to the ‘most memorable blog events’ list!
