Benefit Bling Brows

Today I’ve spent the first day exploring Macy’s San Francisco – the store is insane. A total shopping (and beauty) paradise, but more on this later. As a starter for ten there’s a new sparkly service from the fabulous Benefit that I need to talk about now – as it launches in the US on Friday. Oh, and rather fab to learn that the Macy’s San Francisco Benefit Brow Bar is the first of all the Benefit Brow Bars… where the whole brow-loving kicked off!

Brows are kinda the Benefit thing – the Bene-arch is the signature Benefit brow and now having this Bene-brow treatment in both London and San Francisco I can vouch for the consistency across the pond. When it comes to brows, you always want to know they’re in safe hands as it’s one slip of the tweezers and you end up with a beauty problem you just can’t fix without a whole lot of patience. Well, on top of the Bene-brow they’re now launching a new special service for the festive season (with a fabulous at home kit if you want to get the bling brow look on your own). Well, today I got my own set of Benefit Bling Brows… courtesy of a combination of Benefit Macy’s team and the fabulous Jared – Benefit’s Global Brow Expert.

First up on the brow menu – there are three key looks. The Touch o’ Bling – a trio of sparkle from the arch to the end of the brow. The Over the Top Bling – a full brow line of sparkle across the top. Then for the really sparkle friendly there’s Big Time Bling – where the full brow is covered with sparkle courtesy of the Swarovski Crystals that give the Bene-brow their glam touch. Then, once you choose your look, you then choose your shade. From on-trend rose-gold, to classic crystal. To classic Benefit Pink – there’s a colour to suit everyone.

For my Bling-brow I went for the Rose Gold, with the ‘Touch of Blng’ look – a simple trio of sparkle from the brow arch to the end of the brows. With a large, medium and small touch of bling.

Now, if you’re a regular reader then you can probably relate to the fact that a bling brow is probably not my regular look of choice. But what can I say, maybe the San Francisco Bay Air has changed me and I’m into a bit of glam… I’ll be honest and say my first impression was a little wary when I thought of the idea of crystal encrusted brows. BUT once I had them on, I got used to it very quickly (much quicker than false lashes or similar). It was comfortable and just a touch of sparkle really. Especially in the rose gold as it had a shine, but more metallic than pure sparkle. I can totally see how this sort of look would be fun for a Christmas party – or even more so for a festival or clubbing. You know, the sorts of things the kids are doing nowadays…

The Bling Brow service is launching in both the UK and US – the at home kit is $25 (US) or £19.50 (UK). With the in store service varying depending what look you choose.

What do you think of the bling brow look – would you give it a whirl?
