What I Ate Wednesday #185


It's Tuesday night and I just discovered the gem that is chew-able Melatonin and well, I'll probably pass out halfway through writing this post. Sleep is fun.
AND SO IS FOOD! Happy What I Ate Wednesday!

I was craving eggs and somehow wound up making potato salad for breakfast. I can't even begin to try to justify that one, but it was good!
Lunch was half a frozen thin crust additive-free pepperoni pizza (I love the Newman's Own ones) topped with arugula, avocado, and red pepper flakes. It's not homemade; but my stomach was happy all the same.

Ever wonder what the un-staged pre-faceplant version of my food looks when I slap it together like I give zero cares in the world because OMG-I'M-STARVING?

All in approximately 5 seconds flat.
I'm the speediest of speed eaters and if I don't finish my food before the chickpea finishes hers, I'm eating cold leftovers over the kitchen sink after she's snuggled in bed. Luckily I grew up with three hungry siblings. I could eat most people under the table. It's terrible, of course, because you're not supposed to eat so fast you forget to breathe but, hey, survival mode! That beast of a burger was one of my Mexican Veggie Burgers with smashed avocado, arugula, and taco aioli.
Dessert consisted of a few unphotographed squares of Trader Joe's dark chocolate truffle bar that I happily munched in bed while I caught up on emails.
