I'm Going to College!!
YAH! True! I registered for a full time Graphic Design program and have been preparing for a different kind of year in 2014, but it hasn't felt real till last week when I got all my moneys in place. I was afraid to announce it till everything was totally lined up, just incase it didn't work out. But it's real, and I'm starting on January 27th and I'm excited.
Even better? My fiance Keith's taking the same program and we're going to be classmates! Hottie. Keith went back back to school in 2012 to finish high school and he did a project on career options while there, Graphic Designer being one of them. He loved it, and showed interest when I started dreaming about further education. We were like, "what if..." and we started researching and mapping.
I thought he might be doing it because I was, but when it came to register this summer, it didn't look like I could go (me=so many tears), and he said he was still going and registered without me. That was neat to know.
Anyways. It's been a lot of neat prep getting ready for this program and change of income streams, work hours and focusing on learning for a whole year. Keith and I live together and school is way expensive, so we got real serious about our budget, cut expenses back by over $900 a month and we have a workable plan. I'll be working part time too :)
I'm pretty freaking excited ;) Kyla and family are very supportive, and I'm ready! This is the day we bought our second computer.
