What's New Pussycat

Went on a field trip to Kromar Printing today and learned about Offset Printing. My favorite part was seeing how books are made. And we got notepads pens as gifts.

It's Friday night and I'm in chill mode. I got home from school and took a massive nap and I'm following my instincts to 'do whatever' guilt free. I have a hard time taking a night off when there's so much to do, but I finished two major projects this week and will work on the rest this weekend. Hello taxes and lots of loose ends.

Just caught up with my bloglovin, instagram feed and visited my favorite blog, Humans of New York. Was excited to hear about Elise Blaha's new podcast called "Elise Gets Crafty" and I listened to her first 3 episodes and subscribed. It's a total winner! Couldn't stop giggling when Elise would say 'blah blah blah', because she's sitting on gem catchphrase if she ever wants one-- "Blah Blah Blaha".

I had strep throat 3 weeks ago which had a surprisingly positive outcome because I quit drinking coke when it hurt my throat, and just kept going. I've lost 10 pounds so far and Cokes stock prices are plummeting.

It's my birthday in a week (April 11) and I'll be spending it drawing a nude lady at school, dinner with Keith then a date with my Kyla, watching tv together at my house. She's making a banana cream pie too, according to birthday tradition :) yum!!

Have you been watching American Dream Builders? I'm going to be on episode 7 of American Dream Builders on NBC!! NBC contacted me a few months ago asking for permission to use

my Sewing video (it's the top sewing video on Youtube), and I signed the contracts and can't wait to see it in a few weeks! So cool!!

I love you internet:

• These are funny and familiar. I trip a lot. And the cat version...#3!

• Kaelah's Things I Love has me looking forward to every Thursday (for years).

Sleevefaces done well

• Did you know Freckled Nest has a blog? We do!

• I love you Diana.

• I'm a sensitive person, it's true. This article was spot on for me.

• I admire Kyla for taking down the another wall out there.

• Elise interviewed Sarah from Yes & Yes and I have a whole new appreciation for Sarah. I fistpumped when she shared that her number 1 site referral was the "how I became a stripper" interview, higher than twitter referrals. Love her candidness and point of view.

• And not internet, but TV. I LOOOOOOOOOOVED the finale of HIMYM. Cried ma faceoff.

This week at school, my teacher Julius spoke to the class about respect because he was seeing a level of un-professionalism in our class and wanted to address the group. It was a more personal day and his message made a big impact on us. Afterwards, he had each of us write a message to each other, sharing what we saw and liked (or potentially disliked) in each other, as a way to encourage and connect. I loved writing uplifting notes to my classmates. Then he assembled each persons comments so that they were in one place and anonymous, and the class read them out loud. It was a really powerful and memorable day, and a lot of people felt encouraged, and some, um, eye-opened. This was what classmates shared about me and I'm saving it forever.

I've got a lot of mojo lately. Glad I had time to blog tonight and hope I can keep up with this better. This year is so full, busy and exciting, and I am happy. xo!
