Spring Style: 5 Items to Stop Wearing Right Now

Spring is here ladies! Well…technically it arrived 14 days ago, but I know that for many of you the winter season this year has been incredibly long horrendous.

In any case, it is time to say good-bye to a few of our winter staple items. So break out the storage box and say your good-byes…you’ll see each other again in approximately 6 months.

#1 – Chunky Dark Knits

That cozy chocolate brown sweater? It’s time to give it a rest. If it is still somewhat cold where you live, just reach for sweaters in a lighter color palette: mint green, sky blue and a soft rose are lovely in a chunky knit.

#2 – Tall Brown Black Boots

You’ve been wearing those brown boots since October. It’s time to freshen things up! An open-toe ankle bootie or a woven sandle bootie is a great trade!

#3 – Black leggings

These are a winter staple pieces for so many women…which can often make it a hard habit to break when April hits. Trade your cozy leggings for something equally as comfortable and very on-trend – printed track pants.

#4 – Black Closed Toe Pump

Allright, so these really never go out of style. And depending on your city’s climate, you may be wearing these year round. But consider swapping them for a heel with a color punch. Spring summer don’t take themselves as seriously as fall winter…so mix it up with some color! This pink pair is nearly 50% off this designer floral pair is the perfect spring heel and this metallic pair is like my silver pump I wear all the time except, well, it’s missing the pump part. But super cute!

#5 – Dark Red Nail Polish

Your nails are ready for a refreshing change! Put away your dark blues and reds and start applying the light pink, white and pastel polish!

So have you already put away many of your winter wardrobe? Or has it been difficult to be motivated to do so with cold weather in “your neck of the woods?”
