So I know, I know. Let’s all just be honest and admit that I look pregnant in this last photo. But but let me assure you that it is just a case of a weird angle and sloppy tuck job.
Which speaking of a sloppy tuck job, that seemed to be my “thing” this week as you’ll see in this edition of…

MOMENTS OF THE WEEK!!!:
“Brain is on Autopilot” Moment #1
So Cooper and I like to dress like we belong together (I am ‘that’ mom apparently. And yes, I even annoy myself at times). Here we are having just returned home from another successful trip to the library for toddler story time!
SIDENOTE: So I consider this blog to be a “safe place”…you know…where I can share things and we are in the trust tree so it’s safe and stuff? So I feel like I can confess this…so here goes. Guys, I don’t like toddler story time. There…I said it. I could literally write an entire post about how this event and the various participants who show up each week. I feel like I’m in an SNL skit every time. But I take Cooper so that he realizes how freakin’ normal we are compared to everyone else {sarcasm}. No really…I take him because he loses his mind each time he gets a stamp at the end of story time. It’s like Christmas morning for a toddler to get a hand stamp from a stranger.
Okay, I digress. Sorry about that!
So my whole point of this story is that here we are dressed in our plaid and we are walking into the library and as I’m figuring out which obnoxiously-enthusiastic-stay-at-home-dad-of-the-year to avoid sitting next to on the carpet, I notice a few of the ladies-who-lunch-in-lululemon looking at me with a weird expression on their faces. I don’t think much about it and Cooper and I settle down for what I’ve already admitted to you is 20 minutes of my life I wish I could fast forward through.
The event begins and we all stand to “get our wiggles out” (also known as my least favorite thing to do. Ever. And I love my Cooper even more because he appears equally unimpressed with this shaking activity. He’s so mature).
Aaaaaannnddd then as we are doing the suburban version of the Harlem Shake, I look down. THIS is what I see (this photo is a reenactment ).
1) I still wear my gray pregnancy skinny jeans from Seraphine because they ROCK! Even with non-pregnant bellies! Don’t judge.
2) Apparently I had tucked my shirt into my pregnancy jeans. Awesome sauce. Feel free to judge.
I’m sure even the dads were like, “Oh Mylanta! Did you see that hot mess of a mom?!”
“Brain is on Autopilot” Moment #2
It is very late at night and I’m finally getting ready for bed. I reach for my toothbrush and toothpaste and as I’m applying the toothpaste to my brush I think, “Gosh it looks so velvety. Huh…”
Then just as I am about to place the brush in my mouth I look at the tube I was holding. You gotta be kidding me!!
I took a photo right then because this is obviously a moment.
By the way, diaper cream does not rinse easily.
