Casual Friday + Moments of the Week

Seriously. Every woman needs a navy blazer. I wear this bad boy over dresses, with a white t-shirt paired with jeans, even matched with white shorts when the weather is warm. I just think it’s so versatile and classic…a little more unexpected than classic black.

If you follow my Fitness Facebook page, you know that Cooper and I took off for a little getaway this week! Where did we go? Can you tell from this photo?:

It’s the carpet at the Portland airport

My favorite carpet. Well…for an airport. Not my living room.

Anyway, it’s just a quick getaway to visit some dear friends. But you know that feeling when you are back in a city you love and you are reminded again of all the reasons you love miss it?? Yeah. I feel that.

So today we went to the Portland zoo! There was no one there (literally…we counted 4 other people!) It was just so darn cold outside but that didn’t stop us! And because we had the entire zoo to ourselves, we had a front row seat at every stop!

I thought it was hilarious to take a photo holding his head in the lion’s mouth. Cooper did not.

“Um Mom?! Please stop picking me up. I may only be 21 month old but I am over half your height. This is embarrassing.”

Well…I guess you are right Cooper. I mean, look how much bigger you are than the shopping cart at Whole Foods?! You are giant!!

We just got here so many more “moments” to come I’m sure.
