Tools Harry Josh Pro Blow Dryer: The first time I heard about this blow dryer, I was on the set of a shoot and got into a long conversation with the hair and makeup girl, Kristy. As I always do, I curiously asked about her "holy grail"tools and products and one of the first things she mentioned was this blow dryer. After leaving the set, I ordered it for myself and I have to agree, it's one of the best out there and I've tried everything from the Babyliss to the Solano to the T3. What I love most about it is that it eliminates most frizzes and cuts drying time in half. It's a bit on the pricey side ($300 but now on sale for $250), but in my opinion, a worthy investment.
Harry Josh Ceramic Styling Iron: I tried this months after trying the blow dryer and was immediately impressed. I love that it heats up quickly, has different temperature options and has an easy shape for both straightening and curling. Plus, it has an auto shut off after 60 minutes, which gives me the best piece of mind. How often do we wonder "crap! did I unplug my iron?" Before that feature, I don't know how many times I've had Keith turn the car around, just so I can run back home to be sure it was off!
Mason Pearson Brush: I purchased this brush over two years ago and now, cannot imagine using another. What makes this brush so great is the boar bristles that evenly distribute the natural oils of your hair from scalp to the ends. It also detangles, without pulling and makes your hair significantly shinier and bouncier. I have friends who have the boar bristle/nylon combination and swear by it, so definitely a matter of preference. Yes, crazy expensive for a brush, but something you'll have forever.
Nourish & Protect Coconut Oil: I've tried a billion deep conditioners, but nothing comes close to Coconut Oil. It's natural, (which is always preferred), extremely moisturizing and will give life and luster back to dry hair. I usually put it on dry hair at night and wash out in the morning. I should probably warn though, since it's an oil, it takes two shampoos to really wash out.
Roux Porosity Control: This product is a must for anyone with color treated hair, like myself. I used this years ago and just recently rediscovered it. I use this 2x a week, but it's especially great when used before any sort of coloring treatment. The Porosity Control balances the ph level of your hair and makes it less porous. Basically, an important thing for anyone with processed hair.
Styling TONI&GUY Classic Hairspray: My favorite hairspray for finishing off any look. It holds my style in place, without ever feeling too hard or "crispy."
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: This is the best stuff for adding volume and texture to your hair that will last all day. The price is steep, but one can lasts me a long time.
Klorane Dry Shampoo: I've tried a ton of dry shampoos, and this one is my favorite! No white residue and actually keeps my hair looking clean for an extra day.

And there you have some of my favorites! Thursday and Friday, I'll be taking over the Hair Envy instagram page, where I'll be sharing some 'day in the life' snaps. Hope you follow along! xo, Helena
