March Proust: Eva Cavalli

Your symbol of high fashion – An amazing gown.

You favourite fabric – Silk satin! Liquid and shining!

Your favourite colour – I can’t choose only one color. I love many colors: red like passion and roses, blue like the ocean and sky during spring time, white like swans and the snow.

The collection you will never forget – The Roberto Cavalli F/W 2005-06 collection. The setting was a Wunderkammer: our room of marvels was the basis for a collection of everything that we have found amazing and that we have collected and we are still collecting in our life. Some of the most iconic Cavalli dresses come from that collection.

The style you most dislike – The minimalism of the 90s, so boring!

Your favourite fashion photographer – Irving Penn

Your favourite model – Naomi Campbell

Your shoe/shoe designer fetish – Christian Louboutin

Your jewel/jewelry designer fetish – David Webb

Your favourite fashion accessory – High-heeled shoes.

Your ideal bag – The Roberto Cavalli Regina bag: big enough to contain the entire kingdom of whoever wears it. The handle and its details in brass that were done by hand, the panels of scale prints… Signs of a cosmopolitan traveler, circling the globe, guarding the secret of energy.

The most creative designer – YSL

The most timeless designer – Chanel

Your favourite designer – Roberto Cavalli, of course!

Your favourite decade in fashion – The 70s and the Roaring Twenties, as you can clearly see from my last collection.

Your contemporary muse or inspiration – My close friend, Sharon Stone.

Your historical muse or icon – Brigitte Bardot

The “look” you prefer for a man – Black tie attire.

The “look” you prefer for a woman – A well cut tuxedo in every model, with a very special shirt. Very elegant, but super sexy as well!

The fashion faux pas you can tolerate most – The wrong lipstick.

The fashion faux pas you can tolerate least – The wrong pair of shoes can ruin the whole look!

What is your present state of mind? It’s a very good moment for me. I’m very positive, full of new ideas to be realized very soon.

Your fashion motto – You’re never fully dressed without a smile!
