how to make a tea latte. (the easy way)

Tea lattes have become my favorite drink.

I get tired of drinking water with meals and am always looking for a way to liven my beverages up a bit. For awhile I was making my own chai tea latte concentrate, but then I realized there was a MUCH easier way. You drive through the Starbucks drive-thru.

No. I kid.

Well okay, sometimes that’s what I do, but most of the time I whip up a semi-homemade version.

Whenever I have this latte with breakfast it makes me feel like I’m at a fancy brunch. My favorite breakfast lately is an iced chai tea latte paired with Anne’s grain-free pancake topped with some almond butter.

For the latte, you start by pouring 1 cup water into a mug and microwaving until boiling. Add in your favorite tea bag and allow to brew for about 8 minutes.

Remove the tea bag and stir in 1-2 teaspoons honey.

For a hot latte version, add in 1/4 cup milk (my favorite is with Califia Farms Almondmilk) and drink.

For an iced latte version (my version of choice), place the hot tea in the freezer for 15 minutes, or until cool. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the tea. Add in about 1/4 cup milk, or more depending on your tastes (once again, I’m loving almond milk in these).

You can make this with pretty much any flavor of tea. My favorite tea lattes have been made with Celestial Seasonings Chai Tea or Gingerbread Spice. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Nutcracker Sweet and Sweet Harvest Pumpkin so I can turn them into tea lattes too.

Mornings were made for fancy-feeling (really easy) tea lattes.
