[Foodie Log] SamgyupSalamat

Hello loves! It has been a while since I've posted anything here so let me start with this one. I've been exploring good places in Taft for foodies like me and I think this is one of them. I stumbled upon this Korean themed restaurant through my good friend, JR Espinueva. He was the one that introduced this restaurant to us. It's located along Leon Ginto St., near Exile. It's actually a street before Exile. I'll just edit this post once I've checked the place out again.

There's actually a variety of food you can eat in SamgyupSalamat but I recommend trying out their grilled meat section of the menu. As you can see from the photo above, it looks really good. Their beef and pork grill menu comes with an assortment of side dishes (i.e. kimchi, soup, lettuce, etc). They also offer soju, beer, and other refreshments as well as a wide variety of Korean dishes. I've yet to try them but I'm hoping I'll be able to someday soon.
If you're concerned about the smell of the grill, don't worry since they have a retractable exhaust on each table. Not to mention, they are also air conditioned so for those that hate smoky, hot, and humid restaurants then SamgyupSalamat is for you. Also, if you're a smoker, you can smoke inside the restaurant.

My friends and I tried out this place out of sheer curiosity and being a lover of Korean food, I loved this place. I like how "authentic" it feels when you're eating there. From the utensils, to the sounds, and even the decor of the place is very much the same to a Korean Gogigui. But of course, it's nothing compared to a real roasting place in Korea.

My final thoughts on SamgyupSalamat is that it's a good place to visit if you're looking for a good Korean restaurant in the Vito Cruz area. Word of advice though, have at least 500 pesos in your pocket if you really want to enjoy the beef. I'm not sure if they still have unlimited beef or pork during Weekends but it's worth the try. My verdict, SamgyupSalamat is a must try for splurging students or weekend dates with your S.O.
