ASOS #EpicSummerParty

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to get invited to the ASOS #EpicSummerParty with Access All ASOS, which I'm newly a member to. I was over the moon when I received the email, I love going to blogger events and to just have fun. Anyway I travelled remarkably early to London and whilst getting lost at Euston tube station I managed to head over to ASOS HQ 2 hours early. I asked the lovely ladies at the reception desk if I could perch somewhere and kill time, rather that than get lost around London on my own. I waited in the ASOS cafe upstairs, it reminded me of a University campus, everyone was discussing matters in small groups huddled on wooden tables. I was sat on my own for ages then searched the hashtag for #EpicSummerParty on Twitter and lucky enough managed to meet the marvellous Kira from AnIStyle blog. Loved her Monochrome, Urban Chic outfit she looked fabulous, finally someone who is loving that trend at the moment. I decided to wear my Dolce & Gabbana inspired floral blossom dress from She Inside and matching D&G inspired earrings from River Island. Kira was an hour early, travelling a fair distance so we sat and chatted for a while. It's quite nerve wracking for bloggers who don't know other bloggers that well to go to events and parties on their own, so I was thankful to meet up with someone in the same position as myself.

Anyway we headed into the party at five, Kira and I didn't really recognise anyone else however the lovely Georgina was there so we tagged along with her for a while. Everyone had seemed to form friendship groups and stayed glued to them. I did find it quite daunting how nobody would really come up and talk to people they didn't know. Whilst feeling a bit lonesome, Kira and I soon got the party started together. We picked up a Pimms but it was too bitter for my sweet tooth, we decided to head over to the Brothers Cider stand and try a recommend flavour Wild Berry. That got me incredibly tipsy and the dancing begun. I felt like Cara at a Victoria Secret catwalk, I was busting the moves and I didn't care what I looked like. Everyone was stood around in social circles talking and on their mobiles. What's a party without getting a little tipsy and dancing right? The DJ played some good tunes from the likes of the Weeknd, Drake, TLC and Blackstreet so Kira and I were their dancing like real G's, hell yeah. We had our photos of our outfit taken for ASOS Fashion Finder.

Two lovely ladies were making flower crowns from fresh flowers, and all the girls headed over, they were in awe of how gorgeous they were. I had one with pink and white flowers but I ended up taking it off it was too pretty to ruin I wanted to keep it. There were a few bloggers I recognised but didn't want to introduce myself because I felt a bit starstruck, but with the help of toffee apple cider I embarrassingly had an overly excitable moment fan girling Carrie from WishWishWish blog, after I regretted it and probably looked like an idiot. Met the lovely Dunya from Dearest Deer blog, who took close ups of my outfit for Instagram, she was so beautiful and her hair was amazing. It is weird meeting and seeing people from online to in person, but they were everything I thought the would be. There were so many fashionable people there and they all looked gorgeous. It is hard being a shy blogger from the middle of nowhere in South Wales, I felt like a nobody stepping into a Royal house with ladies and gents who walked around with pride and dignity. I guess bloggers who are London based and go to these events all the time obviously know each other well. Either way if we didn't talk to many people it was still a fun day and so glad I met Kira, after awkward stares and drunk dancing, we headed back home with a fab ASOS goody bag. The train journey home was one of the best thanks to Brothers Cider, I was very sociable and spoke to everyone.

Lots of love,
Charlotte x
