Fave Natural Skin Care

I have always had what people consider “good skin.” I think it’s all relative, some people have skin that breaks out, I drew a lucky card and rarely ever got a zit even in my teenage years. However, I’ve always had super dry skin and am prone to eczema. It’s also pretty sensitive so most face washes haven’t worked much for me and dry me out worse – which is why for most of my life I haven’t had a skin care routine at all.

It wasn’t until moving to a new climate last year that my skin really started to freak out. I started researching how to take care of my face in this new place, spent money on new washes and they seem to do nothing BUT dry my face out, making it splotchier. I’ve now added BB cream in to my normal makeup routine, to cover up the unevenness of my complexion. However, I’ve just had the opportunity to try Burt’s Bees new brightening natural skin care line and you guys – it has won my affection. I’m not wearing the BB cream in that photo above – and I don’t even feel like I need it!

I have never met a Burt’s Bees product that I didn’t like. I’ve sworn by their lip balms for years – the pomegranate was always my favorite until I just tried their coconut & pear. Oh my! So it made sense to give this face stuff a shot. First off, it’s natural making it totally pregnancy safe. (Bonus!) It’s secret ingredient: daisy extract. I haven’t been using it for 8 weeks straight yet, but the line has been clinically proven to even skin tone and help diminish the appearance of dark spots and discoloration if you do so. The first time I used the daily cleanser right before bed, I opted not to moisturize like I normally would, just to see what the result would be in the morning. When I woke up I couldn’t believe how soft and not dry my face was! I even made my husband feel it.
