It’s that time of year again – holidays and celebrations and family and friends…and gift giving!

I have to say that Instagram has definitely opened my eyes to so many great companies, many of them small businesses run by people pursuing their passion. And more than anything, I love being able to support small businesses.

I have a thing for bright, color, printed leggings. It didn’t always used to be this way. I’m in love with the look of these Rainbow Stripe leggings from Dharma Bums. I mean, you can wear these to yoga class and out on the town. The high performance material has four-way stretch, is breathable and quick drying. Plus, they are ethically-made in Australia. 2. Anue Burnout Wrap ($74.99)
I fell in love with this wrap during Reach the Beach. Anue is a yoga apparel line from New Balance. It’s soft and comfy, longer in the back to cover your bum and has a cute pattern on the sleeves. Perfect to throw on after yoga class. Perfect gift for yoga lovers!
3. Pavepara Wings Arm Warmers ($40)
I’m become slightly obsessed with the idea of arm warmers. I love that they can extend the life of your yoga (and running) wardrobe and add a little extra insulation when you need it (without being bulky). Pavepara is a new company and its mission is to keep you looking and feeling great no matter what you’re doing. It’s “Wings” are made from 100% jersey merino and the color is gorgeous. 4. Onzie Chic Bra Top ($48)
So this top right here? It’s the reason that I need more backless tops. I have a pair of Onzie leggings that I adore (fit so well, amazing prints and fabric) and I was excited to try out the Chic Bra Top. The material is super comfortable but the design on the back is stunning.
5. Werkshop leggings ($88)
I L.O.V.E. these leggings. They are made from compression fabric and fit like second skin. Breathable, quick drying, UV protection. But the prints really set Werkshop apart from other leggings. They are incredibly unique and truly works of art. The sugar skull print is amazing, but they recently launched a fruit and veggies collection (kale! raspberries!) and a flight collection that I’m dying to get my hands on.

Words are powerful. Over the years, I have embraced different mantras as mental encouragement for different times of my life – from training (embrace the suck) to stressful times (breathe) to negative thoughts (unbreakable). Having a visual reminder of these mantras helps so much. Mantrabands are beautifully simple bracelets, and the company is on a mission to inspire and empower with positive messages. I first spied Blooming Lotus Jewelry’s malas on Instagram. And I kept looking at the beautiful jewelry. I finally gifted the Surf’s Up mala to myself a few months ago. It’s a comprehensive guide to self-massage techniques designed to erase your pain and help you perform better. As an anatomy geek, I love all the great information about the body, muscles, and fascia in the book.
10. YogaPaws Full Set ($39.95)
Have you seen all the amazing yoga photos on Instagram? How do these yogis take pictures in incredible outdoor settings, doing crazy yoga poses with no mat? Many of them use YogaPaws. The “paws” are made from recycled yoga mats and fit over your hands and feet. They are breathable and have a moisture-absorbent lining. Great for your next yoga challenge, SUP yoga or travel!

I adore Erica. Not only does she make gorgeous jewelry, but she’s one of the nicest, sweetest and most genuine people I’ve met. She recently launched this collection of name and intention plate bracelets and necklaces. A perfect way to keep your mantra close to you.
12. Gaiam Yoga Rising Series ($9.99)
Instagram has created some superstar yogis. Gaiam has partnered with yogis like Laura Kasperzak and Masumi Goldman (aka Two Fit Moms), Patrick Beach and Faith Hunter through its Yoga Rising Series. It’s a digital series and each instructor offers five unique practices, approximately 30-40 minutes long and focus on backbending, inversions and restorative yoga. After following these yogis for a long time, it’s fun to bring their practice into my home.
