How to be Smarter: Looking for a very fun, thought-provoking New York City event? How to be Prettier: If you are using a dating application that automatically pulls in your Facebook profile photo for your picture, have the picture be of just you (not you with a friend or in a a group) so there is no confusion for potential suitors over which one is you in the picture.

How to be (less) Awkward: Sometimes when you send a text message with a photo, the text message will go thru but the picture will take a little longer to appear on someone’s phone, creating momentary confusion. For that reason, always include a brief description of the photo in your text, for example “Photo of us at the beach today! Look at Gus!” instead of just “Look at Gus!” so that the recipient knows to expect a photo coming through shortly.
