Handmade ornament – no-bake clay with Katie!

Hiya crafty peeps! Katie coming at you today with a fun little handmade ornament project

Now, I’m not sure if it’s walking into stores and seeing Christmas stuff, the Christmas cards I keep seeing people make, or the cooler weather coming in but I’ve found myself itching to do some Christmas crafting (yes, I know it’s only October but I’m never ahead so I’m taking this itch and running with it, lol!).

I decided to try my hand at the clay thing and make my own ornament, so I picked up some air dry clay at the store that I wouldn’t have to bake (the less steps, the better) and kind of ‘winged’ it. Just a stamp for the impression (our Chris Mouse clear stamp set), some drying time, some Copics for color and ribbon scraps to hang it and voila – a handmade ornament!

Whaddya think? I’m happy to say this was a Christmas crafting success in my book! Might just have to give out a handmade ornament or ten as gifts of this variety too – good thing I got a head start! Are you making gifts for the holidays? What kinds of crafty things do you like to give?
