Sunshine Sorbet Note Set!

Hi, Oddies!

Suzanne here with a fun project that will inspire you to grab your Sunshine Sorbet papers and get started on your handmade holiday gifts! You can easily adapt this project to any occasion. I didn’t color images for this project, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t add one when you make a set of your own!

I made this set of six mini notes with three sheets of Sunshine Sorbet paper, then added a gift tag-sized envelope for each one, and packaged them in a glassine bag decorated with some Green Bamboo Twine. Whenever I give someone a set of note cards like these, I add a pen because I think it’s a nice way to complete the gift!

I chose the frame and one of the sentiments from the new Garden Gwen clear stamp set released last week. The frames in this set and the Wink Mae clear stamp set are so much fun! I stamped the frame, then stamped the sentiment in a different color ink in each frame. I trimmed each frame and then adhered it to the front of each mini note.

I’ve found out a little trick to help you get smooth folds when you create with the Sunshine Sorbet papers. Since these papers are printed on heavier card stock and have a slight glossy finish, make the first crease with the pattern on the inside. Then, flip the card so that the pattern is on the outside, and you’ll have a nice, smooth fold at the top of each note card.

You can make two mini cards (the folded size is 3″ x 3″) from one sheet of paper. I used one pattern for this project, but you don’t have to pick just one for your card set!
