Beneath the blossom bough.

DRESS C/O WHISTLE AND WOLF | EARRINGS C/O CHELSEA DOLL | HEELS C/O MARKS AND SPENCER
With spring having well and truly arrived, my head has been swimming with promises and possibilities of pretty summer dresses. Whilst frothy day dresses and cute beachy numbers are a given, I've also come to love slightly more sophisticated designs, and no doubt this Whistle and Wolf blossom dress will be my go-to wedding/summer event dress this year. I have a love-hate with peplum dresses; whilst I find the silhouette really flatters my curves, a lot of the time I feel they're a little too Kim Kardashian, and not quite quirky enough for my tastes. However, this printed blue number is so pretty that I couldn't resist taking it for a spin - the colours are just so fun and playful!
I wanted this outfit to be something you could wear to a summer wedding, so I didn't want to overwhelm it with accessories. I've been steering away from statement necklaces recently in favour of big earrings, and this red cluster pair from Chelsea Doll perfectly accent the blossom print on the dress. I finished the look off with my staple SS14 shoes - my silver mid heels from good old Marks and Sparks.
