St Michael's Mount.

Maybe it has something to do with my infatuation with Disney Princess films, but I've always loved wandering around castles. Whether they're crumbling ruins, or better preserved buildings with decadent high ceilings and beautiful architecture, they've always inspired me and kicked my imagination into action. When I sit down and think about it, they're probably one of the things I love most about living in England. As a child I'd explore them whilst pretending I was a princess from another time/world, and as an adult I do exactly the same thing!
Today we visited St Michael's Mount, a nearby island that you have to catch a boat over to if you visit at high tide. It's one of those fascinating places that you sadly begin to overlook when you live locally, as you're constantly seeing it's image plastered all over posters and adverts, however it's well worth a visit. The island, the castle, and the gardens are pure magic. I wore my favourite set from Alice's Pig along with a versatile rose hair clip from Crown and Glory and a little basket bag from last summer. It was a mild day with plenty of sunny intervals, and it really was the perfect end to our bank holiday weekend.
If you have a free moment, it would be amazing if you'd click the button in my left sidebar and nominate me in the Cosmo Blog Awards - thank you! I've yet to be shortlisted, but fingers it'll be a case of third time lucky.
