I think it's fair to say that over the past couple of months I've been in a bit of a blogging rut. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I just haven't been feeling it. I haven't felt the energy or enthusiasm for styling and shooting outfits, and I've found the admin and social side of things uncharacteristically draining. Considering blogging is one of the things I love most in life, it was really scary suddenly feeling so disenchanted by it. I tried to trudge through, however I know that my content may not have been quite up to scratch, and for that I can't apologise enough. Thank you for sticking around despite my posting being somewhat spotty - it means a lot to me.
Thankfully, I'm starting to feel that magic again. I've loved styling and shooting my last few posts, and I've been so happy with the final photos. I'm looking forward to throwing myself back into Twitter chats, and generally getting stuck into the community again. I suppose every blogger has their peaks and falls, but right now I'm just relieved to be coming out the other side. Blogging is getting me excited again, and I can't wait to properly utilise my last long summer as a student.
This ensemble is a quintessentially summery, British outfit. I think this shirt dress from Primark is such a classic design, and such a bargain at £18! At the other end of the spectrum, I paired it with my new Michael Kors clutch from Harvey Nichols. Needless to say, I was over the moon when it arrived; it's such a bright, happy, nautical piece. I figured it was about time to switch my black felt hats for something a little more summery, so I picked up with sunhat in H&M. H&M are my go-to for hats, as they always seem to have a good range of sizes. My head is rather big, and their large hats fit perfectly! I highly recommend them if you struggle to find hats that fit.
