Another Lekala T shirt in ethnic print mesh

I made another Lekala t shirt! I’ve been trying to go through my stash before I buy any new fabrics, and also trying to make everyday clothes like t shirts to wear with my jeans and jean shorts that I wear almost everyday.

I’m guilty of making fancy things that don’t really go with my everyday lifestyle. Like silk cocktail dresses and silk jumpsuits. I’m trying to be more practical. Less frosting , more cake as I’ve heard many a sewing blogger say! That said, I ‘m not completely giving up sewing fancy things. I couldn’t do that!

Which doesn’t mean that the cake should be boring. Hence, my mesh ethnic print t shirt. I like how it dresses up my jeans and these heels I dug out of the back of my closet last week and have been wearing almost everyday since.

Finding time for sewing and blogging has been a challenge lately. After the fifteen mile school pick ups and drop offs between two campuses for my younger girls, trying b to make it to the gym more often, getting dinner on the table every night, and keeping up with the chores around here, I hardly have time to sew lately. I have four projects in the works; a slipcover for my sofa, a duvet set for Gigi’s bed, a leather jacket that needs to be done by next week, and a baby gift for my cousin’s new baby. Hopefully I’ll finish one of them before next year!
